I have just returned to London from Castleton, Virginia, where I was directing Britten's ALBERT HERRING for Maestro Lorin Maazel.

I'm pleased to report that the artistic directors, (pictured) Lorin and Dietlinde Maazel, have invited me to be the Castleton Resident Stage Director - a three-year post.

Next year we plan to revive my productions of Benjamin Britten's ALBERT HERRING, BEGGAR'S OPERA and THE RAPE OF LUCRETIA. We will also stage a new production of Britten's TURN OF THE SCREW.
