Britten's The Rape of Lucretia - Opera Company of Philadelphia

I have just finished my first week of rehearsals for my new production of THE RAPE OF LUCRETIA which opens at The Perelman Theater in Philadelphia's extraordinary Kimmel Center on 5th June 2009.

The cast is a wonderful mixture of both young & highly experienced singers & it's a real privilege to be working here with such incredibly talented artists.

The production stars Nathan Gunn, William Burden and Tamara Mumford.

The designer is my long-time American collaborator, the excellent Nick Vaughan.
