ALBERT HERRING at Castleton

I have just returned to London from Castleton, Virginia, where I was directing Britten's ALBERT HERRING for Maestro Lorin Maazel.

Here I am taking my bow on Sunday night!

  • I'm pleased to report that the artistic directors, (pictured) Lorin and Dietlinde Maazel, have invited me to be the Castleton Resident Stage Director - a three-year post.

Next year we plan to revive my productions of Benjamin Britten's ALBERT HERRING, BEGGAR'S OPERA and THE RAPE OF LUCRETIA. We will also stage a new production of Britten's TURN OF THE SCREW.
